Lynk & Co Cyan Racing claimed its third consecutive teams' world title in the penultimate FIA TCR World Tour round of 2025 at Zhuzhou in China.
Thed Björk started the weekend strongly with second place in qualifying with team-mate Yann Ehrlacher in sixth.
The Swedish driver the maintained second place throughout the first race with Yann Ehrlacher in fifth, Ma Qing Hua in sixth and Santiago Urrutia in tenth - securing enough points for the team to claim the teams' title.
“I’m absolutely delighted! To win the Teams’ title for a third consecutive year is just incredible. Every single person in this team has worked so hard and so consistently all season," said Fredrik Wahlén, Team Manager of Cyan Racing.
"Honestly, at the start of the year, with how close the competition is now, I wasn’t sure we would be able to do it again. But the drivers, engineers, mechanics, everyone pulled together. And to lift the trophy here in China, where the Lynk & Co story began, makes it even more special. We’re going to enjoy these celebrations!”
Yann Ehrlacher survived a chaotic second race with rain and several safety car sessions to win the race as team-mate Thed Björk secured third place.
The third and final race saw the duo once again finishing on the podium, but this time with Thed Björk in second and Yann Ehrlacher in third.
The results brings the team-mates within 34 points of each other ahead of the Macau season finale on November 13-16.
“I had a bad start but enjoyed my fight with Aurélien through the first few corners. He raced me very fairly, and we both kept it clean. After that, it was about keeping focus and managing the car. We’ve scored good points again and I’m still in the fight heading to Macau, a track I love, so it’s game on," said Thed Björk.
“It was a good race, and I’m happy with another podium that means solid points again. This is the most important thing right now. The start was good, I nearly got up to second, then had a lot of pressure from behind, so it was about staying calm and managing the car. I’m feeling confident going to Macau. Anything can happen there. I would love to be able to go and just enjoy it all weekend, but it's not going to be easy at all. The goal is to stay focused and hopefully bring this championship home," said Yann Ehrlacher.
