Volvo S40 Super Touring

The Volvo S40 Super Touring was the second ever race car used by Cyan Racing in the Swedish Touring Car Championship from 1998 to 2002, driven by drivers like Mattias Ekström and Jan "Flash" Nilsson.

The car was constructed by Tom Walkinshaw Racing for the British Touring Car Championship where it was raced from 1997 to 1999. Cyan Racing mainly raced the car but made some engine development for its final seasons.

The S40 Super Touring is one of the most victorious STCC cars in the hands of Cyan Racing with a total of 22 victories during its five years in the Swedish championship.

The car weighed in at only 975 kg and had close to 320 hp from its naturally aspirated five-cylinder Volvo engine that was equipped with an X-trac 6-speed sequential gearbox.
