Yann Ehrlacher qualifies in the top three for WTCR in Czechia

2021-10-08

Lynk & Co Cyan Racing driver Yann Ehrlacher put his Lynk & Co 03 TCR in third on the grid for the FIA World Touring Car Cup race weekend at Most in Czechia.

"It was both my first time and the team's first time at Most, so to qualify in third is really good and we have a good chance to maximise the points that we can score this weekend," said Yann Ehrlacher.

Thed Björk and Yvan Muller qualified seventh and eighth, positions that will turn into third and fourth for the reversed grid first race of the weekend.

"I really like this track and I think we did a solid job in qualifying today. The car is really good and I think we can make good progress in the races," said Thed Björk.

"Not a bad qualifying session with eighth position, that was our target. We've got a strong position for the two races tomorrow," said Yvan Muller.

Santiago Urrutia was left disappointed after the qualifying session, finishing 15th, a position he will start from in both races.

"It was a really bad one for me. We're not sure what happened, we had good speed in practice and we did a few changes on the car for qualifying. But that's racing, you are going to have good days and bad days. I'm focussing on the races on Sunday and to bring home some points with us," said Santiago Urrutia.

The first race of the weekend starts at 14:15 CEST on Sunday and is broadcast LIVE on: eurosportplayer.com
