Flash report: Thed Björk in the top ten of WTCR practice at Zandvoort
Thed Björk was eighth fastest in the first free practice session of the FIA World Touring Car Cup weekend at the Zandvoort circuit in the Netherlands.
The Lynk & Co Cyan Racing driver lapped the dry but overcast circuit in 1:46.452 and was 0.760 seconds from the top time of the session.
Three-time World Champion Andy Priaulx was eleventh fastest with 1:46.498, just 0.158 seconds from sixth position in the very close WTCR field.
"This session was more like it, getting closer to the sharp end of the field. It felt good getting back into the flow at Zandvoort, great circuit!" said Priaulx.
Yvan Muller topped the session early on but ended up in 15th position ahead of fellow Frenchman Yann Ehrlacher in 18th position.
Next up at Zandvoort is the second free practice session, starting at 15:20 CEST.
