2019-02-21

Cyan Racing driver Prince Carl Philip has chosen to take a sabbatical year from racing in 2019 to focus on his family.

"I will for 2019 focus my time on my family and will instead look ahead to 2020 regarding racing. I am however not ruling out one or two races during the year to keep active," said Prince Carl Philip.

Prince Carl Philip started racing for Cyan Racing ahead of the 2013 season and secured the vice-champion trophy in the 2018 Swedish GT season.

"We are fully supporting him in his decision and look forward to continue our cooperation further on," said Christian Dahl, CEO for Cyan Racing.

Cyan Racing has launched a FIA World Touring Car Cup programme for the 2019 season with four Lynk & Co 03 TCR race cars for drivers Thed Björk, Yvan Muller, Yann Ehrlacher and Andy Priaulx.
