Strong first test day at Vallelunga for Polestar Cyan Racing

Björk claimed the second fastest time in the afternoon session, 0.353 seconds from Citroën driver Mehdi Bennani.

”I am pleased with our first test day, we got plenty of laps and invaluable track time. It is very early days yet and we won’t know where we really are until the first race, but it is of course rewarding to be close to the top,” said Björk.

Team mate Ekblom was third in the morning session, just over eight tenths of a second from reigning WTCC champion José María López.

”I am for sure happy overall with our very first official test day. I didn’t get as many laps as I hoped for, but this is our learning year and it is to be expected. I am urging to get back on track tomorrow,” said Ekblom.

The official WTCC test continues tomorrow at the Vallelunga circuit, located close to Rome in Italy.
