Lynk & Co Cyan Racing claims double FIA TCR World Tour titles as most successful TCR team ever

2025-11-16

Cyan Racing has cemented its position as the most successful team ever in TCR after securing both 2025 FIA TCR World Tour titles during this weekend’s Macau season finale, making it a total of nine touring car world titles with Lynk & Co in just seven years.

“This is a historic and proud day for all members of Cyan Racing as we celebrate a total of 12 touring car world titles since 2017. It has been a thoroughly impressive season by our drivers and we extend our congratulations to Yann on his third world title with us,” said Christian Dahl, founder and owner of Cyan Racing.

The Swedish outfit secured its first two touring car world titles in 2017 with Volvo Polestar in the FIA World Touring Car Championship.

The journey with Lynk & Co started in 2019, a cooperation which has resulted in a total of six team world titles and three driver world titles - as Yann Ehrlacher secured his third for the team after the first race in Macau.

“This is a huge day for Lynk & Co Cyan Racing and I want to thank everyone for their relentless efforts this season, as well as all in of the seasons leading up to today that has enabled this thoroughly rewarding achievement,” said Fredrik Wahlén, Team Manager and CEO of Cyan Racing.

“To run a team where all drivers and crew work together to reach the main goal of the team world title is a privilege. Everyone in the team has a huge respect for one another, even when they are racing each other for the drivers’ title.

“Both Yann and Thed fought really well this season and especially here at the challenging Macau street circuit. Yann is a worthy champion and Thed put in an impressive effort to challenge him which resulted in a solid runner-up title.”

Cyan Racing has claimed a total of nine world titles during the TCR era with the Lynk & Co 03 TCR race car of Geely Group Motorsport since 2019.

The 2025 season finale in Macau had the Cyan Racing duo of Yann Ehrlacher and Thed Björk as the sole drivers able to claim the drivers’ world title.

Following two thrilling races on the streets of Macau, Yann Ehrlacher claimed his third drivers’ world title for the team, while team-mate Thed Björk secured a second consecutive silver medal.

"I'm extremely happy and proud of our work this year. My third title is really special and I'm thrilled to do it together with everyone at Lynk & Co Cyan Racing, especially as we secured both world titles this year. A big thank you to everyone in the team who are all part of this historic achievement," said Yann Ehrlacher.

“Huge congrats to Yann, he is a deserving champion and I am proud to have been in the title fight right until the last race of the year. Our double world titles this year is a true team effort, a massive thanks to everyone in the team who have worked so hard. Our strong performance further motivates me for the future,” said Thed Björk.
