Cyan Racing makes first Volvo P1800 Cyan delivery to Sweden - debuting new GT specification features

2025-06-12

Cyan Racing has delivered a Volvo P1800 Cyan in GT specification to yet another car collector, marking the first delivery to Sweden. The delivered car debuts a number of new features - including newly designed wheels, exhaust and interior details.

“Our latest Volvo P1800 Cyan is a further celebration of the iconic GT cars from the sixties of which the original Volvo P1800 is one of the true heroes,” said Christian Dahl, CEO of Cyan.

“We are glad to make our first delivery to our home country where the car is built and designed, especially to a client which has one of Sweden’s biggest car collections. We are also introducing a number of new features to this car which further adds to the versatility of the Volvo P1800 Cyan.”

This recently delivered Volvo P1800 Cyan has been carefully tailored according to the preferences of the client in cooperation with the Cyan team and is completed in beige metallic, with new 17” centre-lock wheels, a new exhaust system with twin-tips and a leather/fabric interior of sand colour.

The restoration and modification process of a Volvo P1800 Cyan takes around 12 to 15 months, involving Cyan’s skilled team of designers, fabricators, engineers and mechanics who maintain an ongoing dialogue with the client throughout the work.

The first Volvo P1800 Cyan was unveiled in 2020 as a track-inspired homage while the first GT version saw the light of day in 2024.

The GT version is tailored for inspiring but comfortable journeys through a unique damper and differential setup, a different roll cage, a newly designed carbonfibre prop shaft and an increased level of sound deadening material.

All this is achieved with a weight of close to 1000kg thanks to the high-strength steel and carbon fire body, a prerequisite for the captivating driving experience of the Volvo P1800 Cyan.

The two-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine of the Volvo P1800 Cyan is available in a wide range of configurations, with customers having selected power output ranging from 350hp to 420hp in the so far delivered cars.

This Volvo P1800 Cyan features the 420hp configuration of the engine which is mated to a five-speed bespoke Holinger gearbox with unmatched precision and feedback.

The small scale production of the Volvo P1800 is currently underway, pricing and individual specification is available for prospective clients: sales@cyanracing.com
